After graduating from the Social Science Department of Waseda University, Murase joined Japan Television Network in 1997. He later left and joined Fuji Television's drama production department in 2008, where he was involved in the production of various hit TV series such as Homeroom on the Beachside, BOSS, Summer Nude, Nobunaga Concerto , Love That Makes You Cry, and recently Silent.
