Sakamoto Yugo is a Japanese director. He was born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1996, studied at Kyoto University of Art and Design (currently Kyoto University of the Arts). At the age of 20 he made his directorial debut with "Bae" (2016). Many of his short and feature-length films, such as "Hangman's Knot" (2017) and "Pan" (2017), were shown and awarded at international film festivals. With his films "Family Wars" (2018), "Baby Assassins" (2021 / NC ’23) and "Baby Assassins 2 Babies" (2023 / NC ’23), he had his breakthrough at Japanese box offices.
