Son Beom Soo is a South Korean freelance announcer and MC. He graduated from Daesung High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a master's degree in Journalism both from Yonsei University. He made his debut in 1990 as part of the 17th open recruitment for announcers at KBS. The following year he was invited to join the network's entertainment program "Heat Battle!" (열전! 달리는 일요일) and quickly rose to popularity due to his clean and sophisticated appearance. He then became the MC of "Animal Quiz Show" (퀴즈탐험 신비의 세계) and a Top-10 music chart show. In 1997, he became a freelance announcer and moved to SBS where he was the MC of several programs, but he also kept a relationship with KBS until the early 2010s. He has also been part of many different shows for jTBC, TV Chosun and MBC.
