Yoo Jeong Yeol, later legally changed to Yoo Yeol, is a South Korean singer, actor, and producer. He graduated from Daesung High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in International Trade from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and a master's degree in Theology from Calvin University.

He made his debut in 1986 after winning the MBC University Song Festival with the single "Just As I Am". After a period of being active on TV as singer, his career shifted in the mid-1990s. He worked as a DJ for "Yoo Yeol's Music Album" on KBS 2FM from 1994 until 2007 and also became a music producer. He legally changed his name in November 2009.

In November 2023, he was battling pulmonary fibrosis and, in May 2024, he received a lung transplant. He returned to TV in August 2025 by narrating a documentary.
