Aramaki Yoshiro is a screenwriter, director and novelist. From 1928 to 1934, he was the screenwriter of Shochiku Kamata, and from 1934 to 1939, he was the screenwriter of Nikkatsu. He also worked in China, for Manchuria Film Association (滿洲映畫協會), known also as Man Ying (满映). It was a communist Chinese film company that, under an agreement with Japan, made many films in the years 1938-1945.

Officially, Aramaki is the creator of two studio films for them, from 1940. However, due to the loss and destruction of many tapes during the Second World War and the closure of the film archives by the Chinese government, it is difficult to say whether he is really responsible for only two films for the Man Ying, or if there are more.
