Ozawa Fujio

In 1935, he joined the Daito movie Negamo studio and wrote the original script for the film "Ronin Sugoroku," which was released on September 19 of the same year. After the war, he became a novelist, and many of his novels were made into movies at Toei Kyoto Studio.
In 1946, he was involved in the launch of the theater company Airza with Sakai Shunji and Arishima Ichiro. In 1951, he participated in the establishment of the Japan Theater Association and became its director.
As a lyricist, he gained fame in 1952 with Hibari Misora's "Ringo Oiwake," which sold 1.3 million copies.
His wife is actress Ichikawa Yayoi, and his daughter is actress and singer Mizusawa Yumi.
He died at the age of 53 on May 15, 1966.
