Hsu Yu-tin graduated from the Dance Department of National Taipei University of the Arts. At the age of 18, he made an appearance in the first short film directed by Lin Junyang, "Wooden Man", which was featured by the Taipei Film Festival in their opening session. While briefly studying at Beijing University of Arts, as a student in the Dance Department, he formed an orchestra and also participated in theatrical performances. After graduating from university, Hsu Yu-ting continued to audition and returned to the life of an actor.
