Ara Chawdhury is a writer and actress, known for Miss Bulalacao (2015), Sabado, Sabado (2012) and Operation Prutas (2015). She won Best Director at the 2015 Sinulog Short Film Festival for her short film, Operation Prutas which also won the grand prize at the same festival. Her first feature length film, Miss Bulalacao, premiered at the Cinema One Originals Festival in the same year, where it won Best Screenplay.
