During his studies at Gyeongnam Middle School, he dreamed of becoming a professional basketball player, playing on the basketball team for three years before sustaining an injury that ended his sports career.
He broke into the entertainment industry as a model when he worked the runway of the SONGZIO Homme Spring/Summer 2014 collection in 2013. He went on to make his television acting debut in the 2014 drama “Surplus Princess” (잉여공주).
He enlisted in the police force (The Capital Defense Command Military Police Group) on March 20, 2023.
On January 2, 2026, he signed an exclusive contract with the agency FABLE COMPANY.
