Melver Ritz Gomez is a filmmaker from Ilocos Norte. His films were focused on the culture and tradition of the Ilokanos. He was recognized as Sirib Awardee 2019 by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte through the Ilocos Norte Youth Development Office. He also got into spotlight and was recognized by the province for the National Arts Month 2021 for INSpotlight. His Ilokano Documentary Film “Tumba” was screened and presented at the 14th NAKEM International Conferences held at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He was a workshopper of Ricky Lee’s Film Scriptwriting Workshop (Batch 24) of which the award winning Scriptwriter served as his mentor. His film "Iyallatiw" was selected as a top 10 finalist and at the same time won the Viddsee Juree Silver Prize for 2021 .
