Edwin Gerard is a Taiwanese-American actor and model. Born to a Taiwanese and American family, he moved to the United States at six years old. Gerard started learning tennis at twelve through a summer camp and later joined his high school’s tennis team, eventually winning the New York regional championship. These achievements helped him gain admission to the State University of New York. He has also earned a tennis coaching license and worked as a coach.

After college, Gerard decided to pursue acting and returned to Taiwan, where he signed with Catwalk Production House (宏將多利安) through a family introduction. He later joined Power International Entertainment (寶麗來國際娛樂) in 2011, and in 2018, he moved to Apex Oriental Entertainment Group (頂尖東方國際傳媒).

Gerard began dating Cindy Yen (袁詠琳) in 2013. The couple briefly separated in 2015, reconciled in 2016, and ultimately ended their relationship in 2018.
