Masao Omura was a Japanese actor born in Odate Town, Kitaakita District, Akita Prefecture, Japan.

He moved to Tokyo and made his stage debut in 1896 at the age of 18. He performed on stages across Japan and became known as a Shinpa stage actor.

In 1913, he joined Nikkatsu Mukojima Studio and became a film actor, starring in "Tachibana no Hanako". After appearing in the remake of "Resurrection" and "Koi no Tsumako", he left the company and returned to the stage.

His whereabouts after the age of 45 are unknown, and his year of death is unknown.
