Born into a family of artisans in the Timur tribe (Sandimen Township, Pingtung County), he followed the footsteps of his father, Qumas Zingerur (a.k.a Lei Tzu), who was considered the father of Paiwan glass bead art. He has been researching and developing traditional Paiwan pottery "reretan" since the late 1990s.
He began his acting career when director Tsao Jui Yuan found his photos on Facebook and thought his looks were perfect for the movie "Seqalu: Formosa 1867."
