Ichikawa Raizo VII was a Japanese film and kabuki actor His father was the chief priest of the Honganji temple in Tôkyô. Disciple of Ichikawa Danjûrô IX, he made his debut on stage in January 1896, performing under the name of Ichikawa Eitarô. He took the name of Ichikawa Raizô VII in March 1908. He was active during the Taishô era but had to stop acting, leaving the Kabuki world to become a Buyô teacher in the Fujima school of traditional dance.
