Jakrawal Nilthamrong is a filmmaker born in Lopburi, Thailand, who obtained a BFA at Silpakorn University in Bangkok and an MFA at the School of Art Institute of Chicago in 2006. In 2007, he was an artist-in-residence at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. In recent years, his short films as well as his feature debut, Unreal Forest (2010), have been screened in Rotterdam. Nilthamrong's second feature, Vanishing Point, was supported by the Hubert Bals Fund and won the Hivos Tiger Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2015.
