Jung Sung Hwa is a South Korean comedian turned actor and musical actor. He graduated from Incheon Daegeon High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Performing Arts from Hansae University and an associate's degree in Theater from Seoul College of Arts.

He made his debut in 1994 as part of the 3rd open recruitment for comedians at SBS with a role in the sitcom "March" (행진). The producers criticized him for not being funny and his seniors criticized him for not working hard. So, he decided to enlist in his mandatory military service in mid-1996 to take a break from the industry.

In 1999, he transformed his career by making his acting debut in the drama "KAIST" (카이스트), where his acting was praised by the media. He decided to quit comedy and focus on acting.

In 2001, he ventured into musical theater with roles in well-known musicals such as "Hero", "Man of La Mancha", "Les Misérables", among others, winning multiple awards and being considered one of the best musical actors in South Korea.
He continues to combine his work in TV, movies and musical theaters for most of the year. He is currently represented by ParkWith Entertainment (파크위드엔터테인먼트).
