After a hiatus of five years, he returned to Taiwan in 2015 to star in "Bromance".
On May 14, 2016, he was involved in an accident during the final recording of the Chinese variety show "Extraordinary Partners", resulting in a ruptured right ligament and torn meniscus, rendering him unable to stand. After consulting with his family and company, he decided to return to Taiwan for surgical treatment. He had to withdraw from his role in the new drama "Ancient Love Song", for which one-third of the filming had been completed.
