Kim Jin Young, known professionally as DEX, is a South Korean entertainer, actor, emcee, YouTuber, and former UDT/SEAL managed by the agency KTHD. He graduated from Suncheon Jeil High School and worked as a swimming instructor for a bit before getting enlisted in the Republic of Korea Navy Special Warfare Flotilla in the UDU (Underwater Demolition Unit). After a while, he left UDU, however, and instead joined the UDT (Underwater Demolition Team).

In 2016, he began serving his military service in the Navy and completed UDT/SEAL training. He was assigned to the Special Mission Battalion of the Naval Special Warfare Group (a counter-terrorism unit) for four years until he was discharged in early 2020. He was the youngest in the ARK unit.

He won Best New Entertainer at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Award for his role in the competition "Bloody Game 2" (피의 게임 시즌2). The following year, he won the Rookie of the Year at the 2023 MBC Entertainment Awards.

In 2024, he made his debut as an actor with the drama "Tarot" (타로).
