Li Dongyang was born in Weihai City, Shandong Province. When he was in the third and fourth grades of elementary school, his mother sent him to the Children's Palace to learn dancing. When he was entering middle school from elementary school, he applied for the art school . In addition, he also learned classical dance and vocal music.
