Jennifer Lee was born in the Philippines and was raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia until she and her family went back to Manila in year 1995. Jennifer is of Korean and Japanese descent in her father's lineage. She also has Filipino ancestry which originates from the province of Laguna.

Jennifer studied in an international school in Malaysia and pursued further education in the Philippines at the St. Scholastica's College and Enderun Colleges, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. Jennifer Lee was crowned as Mutya ng Laguna in the year 2003. She was then invited to be a part of Viva Films. Jennifer then became an artist while still managing her academic responsibilities.

She is also an avid fan of sports. When she was still a student, she used to be part of the collegiate martial arts varsity team. Jennifer also plays underwater hockey, wake boarding, scuba diving, and equestrian. Jennifer is also inclined to music. In fact, she took piano lessons as early as 6 years old. Jennifer used to have an all-girl band when she was in high school. She knows how to play the guitar, drums, and bass. Now, Jennifer is a DJ and brand ambassador of Pioneer DJ Philippines and creates beautiful remixes and beats.
