Jeon Yu Seong was a South Korean comedian. He graduated from Seorabeol Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater from Seorabeol University of Arts.

He made his debut as part of a theater troupe in 1967 and, in 1969, he officially debuted as a special comedy writer for TBC Oriental Broadcasting. He helped popularize the term “gagman” in broadcasting and played a key role in launching "Gag Concert", which transformed the country’s comedy scene. He also created the Busan International Comedy Festival and funded it with his own money during the early years. He was a mentor to many generations of junior comedians and was highly respected in the industry.

In mid-2024, he was hospitalized three separate times due to COVID-19, pneumonia and arrhythmia. He remained out of the industry and had very few appearances on YouTube channels of junior comedians. On September 25, 2025, he was admitted to Jeonbuk National University Hospital with pneumothorax symptoms and opted to refuse any medical treatments to prolong his life. He died at the age of 76. The funeral was held at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
