Before debuting, he spent several years as a trainee at IST Entertainment (아이에스티엔터테인먼트) and appeared on TV as a contestant in the survival show "The Origin – A, B, or What?". After being eliminated, he also left the company and became an independent trainee.
In early 2024, he entered the singing survival show "Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survivor" where he ended up as part of the winning team. As a result, he signed a 2-year contract with Stone Music Entertainment (스톤 뮤직 엔터테인먼트) becoming a member of B.D.U.
He made his debut in June 2024 as B.D.U's maknae with their first mini-album, "Wishpool".
