She is a director and producer of the National Theatre of China whose representative works include the films Guarding Childhood, My Angel on the Street and the TV series The Earth Has a River. She won the Golden Rooster Award for Best Children's Film at the 28th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival in 2011 for her film Guarding Childhood. As a producer, she has produced more than twenty films. Many of these films have won the Flying Sky Award, the Lily Award and the "Five-One Project" Award. More than ten of her directorial works have also won international and domestic awards: the film My Angel on the Street won the first prize of the Golden Phoenix Award.
