Weng Yu Tong was nominated in Tokyo Talents, which is a subordinate program of Berlinale Talents and a 1 on 1 workshop by Festival des 3 Continents and Taipei Film Festival with the identity of director and screenwriter. She has directed and written two short films: “The double” and “Undercurrent”. Her first detective fiction “Midday” was published in 2021, and she won an honorable mention of original animation script from Taiwan Creative Content Agency with her work “Shuang Sheng Chi Tan” (Chinese: 双生綺譚), and is now popular with her intellectual property “LA VIE CINE” (Chinese: 光庵).
