He auditioned at Big Hit Entertainment and spent several years as a trainee and was part of the agency's pre-debut boy group labeled as "Trainee A". However, due he left the agency in December 2022 as the group was cancelled and never actually debuted.
He then signed with GRID Entertainment (그리드엔터테인먼트) and was supposed to join fellow labelmate Leo Lee as part of the duo LEO & SANGWON (리오&상원). They were formed in May 2025 but, a few days later, he entered the survival competition "Boys Planet II" where he finished in 1st place and secured a spot in the resulting project group, putting the duo on hiatus.
They released the pre-debut single, "Formula", in December 2025. He officially debuted as ALPHA DRIVE ONE's center in January 2026 with their first mini-album, "Euphoria". The group is managed by Wakeone (웨이크원) and the initial contract is for 5 years.
