I might be one of the rare few that enjoyed the entire show and it kept me guessing to the end even though I had an inkling of who might end up dead. If you think this show will have a fluffy happy ending then you are in for a surprise, as right from the start it sets the dark tone and never strayed from it too far. The way they ended it was the only way as there would be no way for Kang Pil Sung to continue living after all he’s been through and that was the redeeming factor in allowing him to maybe reincarnate if the ending is to be believed as him and HSJ. But I do have a criticism and it is that they softened the antagonist and made him human towards the end and changing his MO in the murders AND why did they not think to push him into the ocean or douse him in salt if that was what will destroy him in the end.

Visually a rather pretty drama to watch, the set and costumes are beautiful but were distracting at times as some of it just didn't match the time period.

Storyline was long winded and frustrating at times but the characters grew on you as each episode went by. Even the villains on the drama peaked my interest, especially Tuoba Yu and Chang Ru but Chang Le's character was the most repetitive and most frustrating one to watch which I blame on the writers not developing her character better.

The chemistry of the Leads were cute and it was one of the main reasons I stuck with the drama, to see their story develop.

The drama was seriously too long with 54 episodes but I have to say the journey was not too bad. Watch if you like Wuxia dramas with pretty costumes and a young cast.
