I like the duet, but I can barely hear his voice. Then today I heard him sing it on his own, and it was so complex and beautifully executed, yet in the duet, I couldn't hear that at all!

He seems indecisive about what to do. I think he hasn't regained all of his memory yet.
But I know the fl has feelings for him and wants to protect him too.

Just look at how worried she was when they told her he was under investigation. If the only risk was him regaining his memory and starting to investigate like a magistrate, she could have handled it more calmly. But she rushed to him, all worried, because she was scared he'd get hurt,killed, or that he might leave her after remembering.
So if that’s a disadvantage, she has it too
