I’ve only seen Legend of Fei,, Legend of Lu Zhen, and The Journey of Flower (I didn’t know that it’s called Legend of Hua Qian Gu also). All of which I didn’t really enjoy. Nevertheless, after I watched Zhao Liying’s The Story of Minglan, I became a fan.

Very true that most of the time the female lead doesn’t live up to the word “legend”. That’s why I just base the list off of which dramas I enjoy that just so happens to have “Legend” in the title.

Also, I actually recently finished Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace. I didn’t know that its other title is Legend of Ruyi.

I’ve seen Legend of Mi Yue and personally, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped. I agree on your list of cautionary “legend of…” dramas.

Yeah a lot of people have recommended me the 1983 version of The Legend of the Condor Heroes. It’s on my ptw. I haven’t heard much about the 2017 version but it’s good to know u enjoyed it.

Ah yes, a lot of people have mentioned The Legends. I'll give it a try someday and who knows, maybe it will make it to the list next time ^-^

Another user also said that they liked Legend of Dugu so I’m excited to start it soon. The Legends uses “Legend” a bit differently but I think it can still work ‘cause it still has the word :)

It was one of the first few costume c-dramas that I watched. It got me into c-dramas as well, and an introduction to Yang Mi :)
