yes the plot was going a bit haywire, but all I could ever think about was poor Taejoong. My heart honestly broke for the way they showcased the character. The acting from Ji Chang Wook was top-tier; he really portrayed the character's depth and personality, especially how he suffered in prison.
He may be a fake character, but I think about him every day and night
The show is a bit messy, totally agree with you about Min Jae's death (bad writing) Regarding the team however…
I understand that they were lied to, but it seems as though they didn’t take to heart the fact that they had been in contact with the serial killer before. Yet they completely shut him down once finding out that he was her son. What I don’t understand is why they’re creating such a dramatic scene over something he cannot control. It’s such a heavy secret, of course he wouldn’t want to tell strangers, especially when his mother wrote it down as a condition. loool
also, they never explain the strange behaviour minjae showed i wish they further elaborated his character and his purpose smh
Also, Minjae's death was not convincing at all. The writers did Minjae really dirty by barely giving him any character depth or screen time. I was really looking forward to his recovery until they suddenly said that he died??? there was no emotion or natural ending other than him just half awake ...
Also, so WHAT if he happens to be the serial killer's son?? that changes absolutely nothing?? why are they so offended by it esp the female detective??? this is really messing with me
beom-jaes death made me cry so much :( he didn't deserve such a horrid and heart-wrenching ending... poor guy kept getting used by Do Young just to get back at dong soon :((
evil can influence!! whenever you see characters like Han Dong Soo in any crime drama, an accomplice of a villain... we always undermine such characters because we believe they're uninteresting and just bad people. But I think this is the first time I have watched something that explains such characters in depth. A character that always fought for justice eventually goes against justice. Every time the brothers encounter the psycho, they end up digging a deeper grave for themselves.
I’m going to be honest, I’m a hardcore fan of the original not sure why, but Im not a big fan of this one though I really tried to like it :( maybe the next following episodes will change my mind
