I saw this clip of Chang Heng and the main CP and he has the stone Lan Hua gave him... https://www.instagram.com/reel/CiQBAwipc5E/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY%3D
They are both written by the same author (ไน้นญ้้ฆ). I'm not sure if it's a shared universe in the novel, as i don't remember Chang Heng being in the original novel. In the dramas it is definitely a shared universe. The author did write a well recieved novel about Chang Heng which is definitely a shared universe with LBFAD and the plot is very similar to Love You Seven Times (almost like a prototype). However I don't see it being adapted due to controversial themes.
I just realised the director is same for Mr Bad Drama ๐๐. Hope Hidden Love will be hits next year.
I'm certain this drama will be popular but im a bit worried about whether it will be cliche or cringey considering the history of the director and screenwriter... As long as they follow the source material it will be fine i think
I watched this movie a two weeks ago and I really didnt like it but i still gave it a pretty high rating because the cinematography was to my taste and the start was decent. However, I've been strangely thinking about this movie a lot recently- about how Qing and Xiao Xiao didnt end up together because Qing was "living" in the future while he was in the present. For example, he was ignoring Xiao Xiao when they were together because he was unsatisfied with their current conditions and when he finally achieved success he went back to Xiao Xiao to get back together with her but she refused. It was too late at that point. What Qing never realised was that Xiao Xiao didnt care if they were living in a filthy cramped poverty or a glamourous modern apartment. All she wanted, was to experience life with him. This stuck with me because I've always thought that my life and my family's life would be better if I achieved success in the future and I often deny myself things because I dont feel like my current self is deserving of it but what I think I failed to realise is that if I keep trying to live in the future, I'll miss the life experiences that really matter to me. So this movie has given me an epiphany of some sort. Still only rating this an 8 because I wasnt feeling the romantic chemistry.
Ohh i see... I don't get why OP is saying they're bad at choosing scripts tho- if anything they're great at it. Most of the dramas they've produced have 8+ rating on here and I've heard of all of them before so they must be popular.
True, I just like the extras we can get with IQIYI promotions and the CGI in LBFAD was about the same level as WRTW but Tencent is not bad overall. They sub well also. My only issue is they promote their dramas in an average way. Also ZLS has been working with Tencent a lot lately so I expect it to be them.
For those who has read the novel, is it going to be like, I dunno, icky? When junior high student fall in love…
At the start Sang Zi acts like a child... because she is one but when she grows up she acts like an adult and thats when the romance actually starts so its not icky at all
I hope the director has new ideas and breakthroughs in xianxia, not stuck in the existing xinxia style. If we look…
Yeah I definitely feel that the reason The Untamed was so popular was because of its source material (besides XZ and WYB of course) because the first lot of episodes were just boring and difficult to get through. The whole production was also famously low budget. They have more budget this time so im hoping for the best.
The director is the same as The Untamed... Interesting and the screenwriter is the same as Love and redemption. I hope the network will be IQIYI but it's most likely Tencent ๐
They're fumbling the bag so hard i swear ๐ข All they had to do was to focus on the main leads like any other normal drama does. Also the snippet of the deleted kiss in episode 20 made me so frustrated arghhhhhh IT WAS THE BEST PART AND THEY CUT IT ๐
Was really looking forward to this drama. I thought it would be amazing considering the plot and cast but after watching up to episode two and reading the reviews I've decided not to continue... The plot is strange, it makes no sense at all that Xiao Wudi would be able to read books from the library because the language has evolved into something completely different in many years. No way he was able to consume so much knowledge in barely one day. At that point i would rather they had used the "character gets transmigrated acts like an idiot" trope because it would have made more sense than whatever far fetched tale scenario they had going on. Additionally, you expect me to believe Nan Xing is an athlete? She's definitely not built like one and discus doesnt seem that important (she quits it to chase her crush) to her despite apparently being very skilled at it. Seems like a little quirk she has in an effort to make her character less Mary Sue. The gaping plot holes like swiss cheese make Mr. Bad difficult to continue. Such a shame, it had potential.
