I seem to recall a Chinese entertainment YouTuber talking about her being upset that a lot of the scenes she shot were scrapped. Did it really get that serious? This is the first I’m hearing about this.

I have to disagree. An intelligent person can totally hold a grudge in those circumstances. She did nothing wrong, yet he is placing his agenda above an innocent human life.

I’m speaking in general and not about this drama specifically. That is just the trend I have noticed. I truly hope this one doesn’t disappoint me with her brushing off his actions towards her without him facing real consequences. Fingers crossed.
Is anyone else enjoying the morally ambiguous male lead instead of the typical 'good guy' we usually see in most…
Yes and no. I enjoy that it is something different that we don’t get to see very often. But it is the follow-up that usually disappoints me. It seems that almost always when we have this angle, if there is a romance line, the female lead is way too forgiving. I want a FL that holds a grudge to the point of the ML really feeling the weight of his past actions, not aFL who easily falls in love and makes excuses for a man who has tried to kill her multiple times.

My feelings are neither sensitive nor hurt. Your initial comment wasn’t even directed at me after all. I’m just the type of person who believes in advocating for civil discussion, not belittling accusations. I can understand her fans being protective, but to this extent really does her a disservice.
It’s my sincere hope that this role is the one that leads myself and others to look forward to more of her projects.

That’s a lot of hostility and assumption for just a name and an emoji. I don’t want to make assumptions about the original poster’s thoughts, but I know that I was less than excited to see CDL as the main FML due to the fact that out of all the dramas she has done, I haven’t liked a single character she portrayed, yes even the protagonists and supporting characters. I’m still willing to give her the benefit of the doubt for this drama though. Hopefully everything before can be chalked up to decisions made with the writing and directing.
I'm looking forward to seeing BJT in this role. I have mixed feelings about ZRN, though. While she is a superb actress, she almost never has any chemistry with her male co-stars.
I’m really enjoying the drama. But can anyone explain why the writers changed a lot of the characters’ names? Or is it that Ancient Love Poetry changed the names ? Either way, I’m confused and making changes like that seems a bit disrespectful to the original work.
You know they do have longer Korean dramas that are 50 episodes.
I am aware. However, I doubt that it will be that long. Hwang In Youp is a rising actor now and the industry pays per episode. I also don’t believe that he would want to be tied down to one project for that long.
