I think the only good thing here so far is the FL is less annoying and the leads have cute bickering dynamics as well like in the original. But they villainize the dad so much in this version & made the cool mom Visakha character which everyone loved from the original look so pitiful instead. And the cool co-parenting dynamics of FL's parents to her which was commendable in the original was non-existent here as well. I know the plot was already messy to begin with as expected from a slap kiss lakorn but wished they picked those important key points about Nok's parents the drama emphasized but they really throw it under the bus. SMH.
I started and forced myself to continue. I'm still on episode 7, but I want spoilers, please! Does she get pregnant?…
If they follow the original, yes...š in fact, the original lakorn is among one of the dramas where I think 30% of the duration of the story is when the FL is heavily pregnant which is rare. š¤£Dunno if this version will follow suite.
I have weird feeling about Yao Le Fei... something smells wrong
probably she really had a secret liking to her step bro LCY then which she kinda forgot along with her memories but when it slowly got back, she starts to have infatuation again and jealousy sparked that slowly turned her into a bitch š
Already on Episode 17 and it's hooking so far and love that Jiang is giving me such Wang So from Scarlet Heart vibes. haha.
It's taking quite long for me for the ML to find out about the FL that I almost forgot PY still have to find out that SGZ is actually YCW and this could just be a story of PY moving on and falling in love with a new different woman altogether. Haha.
But seriously though, are they going to let it pass in the drama how the switch happened? Is witchcraft really the explanation? Like...I kind off expected the use of concealer makeup to cover the scar on the face & prosthetics for fake scar but how the switch happened on the wedding day was just totally overlooked. Hah.
Picked this up and just finished and overall, Iām glad I did as this not totally bad. The story may be cliche but the production & script for me was quite tight enough & decently done to say I didnāt waste my time to it. Itās just enjoyable & a light watch.
The cross dressing & makeup was indeed ridiculous but not to the point of not being plausible & the cross dressing & discovery didnāt took really long to not make sense.
The miscommunication was indeed what really frustrated me too. Obviously, we had a ML whoās terrible upfront but somehow knew what couldāve done & explained in front to the FL to appease & amend the situation but does it behind the FLās back instead, EVERY EFFIN TIME. š
Wish they clarify what actually is the truth among Li Manās lie to Yi Cheng about the stealing of code incident like if she really got jailed & if it really just because of his father & such because that part got me confused but then also glad that part didnāt got too much screen time or else. š
Though at least, the MLās redemption was plausibly done & made sense & not rushed like magic. Likeā¦MLās acknowledgment & reassurance & him willing to accept FLās supposedly another manās child that made the FL gave him a chance again made sense & didnāt come out of the blue. It such a pet peeve of mine when writers create lots of miscommunications & conflicts but just expects that time skip & leads/couples meeting up again after years would magically do the job of making them get back together. š«
Finished this quite quickly and wow...although the show definitely has some huge loopholes, it certainly have an entertaining & rewatch value you'll enjoy and think it's not a total waste of time. Mad props on the huge effort making every episode as engaging as possible. Like...the show is not idle and there's always something going on that'll have you every episode. It's not that long as well and just enough episodes to binge.
I didn't quite get and totally confused why the need for that drawing of blood at the elevator scene only for the result to be exchange anyhow but that sure totally worked for me and well done. HAHAHA. They totally just bypass and didn't bother to explain on how XinCheng supposedly got out and survived on that car crashing scene but oh well...LOL. And how they got the original recording of the tampered phone call as evidence should've put more effort on explanation but that was rush. LOL. I appreciate the fast pace but there are just things that magically happened that got me???
But again, there's chemistry with the leads and Fan Zhi Xin definitely carried this show I'll still be glad I've watched this and wouldn't mind watching again :D
And i really end up finishing it today š„¹š„¹š„¹
That was satisfying and I would definitely miss them and will gladly watch this again for a happy pill š„¹š„¹š„¹
Yes⦠itās not exactly perfect but for me, it had the right amount of fun, lots of fluffy father & son moments & overwhelming Main Couple moments while making statements about how a fighter Min Huiās character is & her stand about ageism & abuse of woman in the workplace. š Xin Qiās statement of how he appreciate Min Hui as a mom & that she doesnāt need a saving but is just a loyal guard to her. š I love how cdramas give us breather where main couple actually become couple & is generous to give us lots of moments more than lakorn & kdramas can give to their leads. Lol. Though like this one, cdramas also tend to throw the most random, useless & unrelated second & third couples than kdramas & lakorns give. Hah.
Itās quite long but I appreciate that they gave time for everything rather leaving a hanging thread for the stuff that they throw at the beginning. I meanā¦.dedicating an episode to what happened to that bus incident & giving a satisfying amount to punish the villainā¦š
That was an enjoyable run 100x times made more fun mad props to editing & post production effort with all those graphics & sounds effects that certainly how cdrama that took quite a while before airing should look like. š„ŗ
What Iām appreciating so far about TLYGM despite having such a common and favorite troupe of FL not disclosing to the ML that they have a child together is that in here, after the revelation, weāre actually getting a lot of father and son bonding moments that we could ever have in any other dramas with the same troupe. Itās like they didnāt shy away and didnāt cut scenes of how actual dads find time to play with their kids so itās really heartwarming to watch. Xin Qi also become vocal about his realizations and gratefulness to Min Hui on her hardships raising Quan Quan let alone with the kid having a heart disease like him. Likeā¦this kind of troupe is usually only use for angst sake but how often do we get to hear from a ML this kind appreciation & respect to the mother of their kid FL later in the plot after finding out the truth? Gotta hand it to Xin Qi ās characterization and WZQ for effectively delivering those lines š„ŗ
Others may find this show illogical and cliche and hard to continue due to both frustrating MC but for me, Iām super enjoying it and it definitely have a rewatch value. Weāre getting lots of fluff family scene and cool boss XinQi scene from last night Ep 16 so thatās quite enough for me to continue š„² I donāt really find MinHui going overboard with her reactions about getting scared and misunderstanding XinQi with the lawsuit and it wasnāt drag as such and nothing illogical with their confrontations so Iām quite letting it pass. š MinHui is not a Damsel in distress but is a fighter instead so I love it of her!
What the drama did good I think was to start off the show on an already interesting part of them 5 years later meeting again after the break up but still with bit of background of them two so audience has already a grasp of their past relationship and then establishing it more so you know they really loved each other then and were together then rather than the usual plot of a hooked up and had a child then will only get to know and belatedly fall in love years later.
Dr. Zhou Ruji was the more illogical character one and have actions that I couldnāt let pass though. I understand his attachment of wanting to be a father figure to QuanQuan when XinQi isnāt in the picture yet but likeā¦. to insist that he still be called Daddy Zhou right in front of XinQi, the biological dad, when he isnāt even married to MinHui like⦠thatās quite shameless and disrespectful and illogical of him to insist š Wish they quite review that partā¦
I guess the fact that we collectively see the chemistry between MinHui and XinQi and we have an effective villain of Cheng QiRang that XinQi manage to gets owned every time like a cool boss, this show to me is worth checking and enjoyable š
So Kla used to have sex with the stepmom right? I don't know why my mind went blank when I watched that scene…
Well...it actually shocked me too after the 7 years time lapse that suddenly, there's an implied lust of the stepmom to Kla.... She could've just been a tool for Kla's redemption but they went down that route of being her being a old maniac. Anyhow, from the flashbacks, I didn't really get the impression that their relationship went that far other than the stepmom trying to take advances and trying to seduce him but that's it....so yes...I think you should not let that part bother you too much. LOL.
The legal hearings in a court are not all about bullying, rape, murder, property dispute, political fight and…
true!!! what I find charming about this drama and makes it different from other law dramas is how interesting and pick insights and learn from the diverse and small cases they brought up rather than the usual big murder cases.
Finally finished this after Rainbow Subs completed subbing.
Rival families concept may not be something new but I think this is the first time both the ML and FL joined hands to form their company and see them working together and for that fresh take, gotta give it to this show.
They did a pretty good job with timing of secret revelations with much from what is revealed at first yet don't feel like too much was going on that you'll see it as a mess. I say not a lot of dramas can master that.
Love that there's a growth in Milin's character and she's not a damsel in distress also that she become logical towards the end with Win also being such a logical character especially around the time he knew about his father's secret.
I just think they quite invested more on showing Wianna and Wn's past relationship than necessary that it also became quite hard to build up and be invested on the new Milin and Win's new relationship though they're really cute together as well.
Side characters and the BL is cute as well and not annoying.
Overall, something I would watch again and didn't feel like I just wasted my time. Heh.
Falada decided to sub after a 2 month break and she uploaded 3 episodes in just 5 days. Watch here https://faladascreations.com/…
thank you so much for the effort...and yes...maybe the subber is back with Game Prattana because she just finished subbing Samee Chua. Hopefully she can focus first with GP and finish subbing up to ending Ep. 18 before having another project that may delay subbing this again.
It's such a torture for most lakorn viewers wherein from the cast announcement to costume fitting pics up to actual airing of lakorns to waiting for subs, it can literally take up to 2-3 years so reviews and hype are all delayed unlike with fast casting, script reading and next day subbed episodes of kdramas and sometimes, thai BLs. Heh.
