hii im from asia, so i want to answer some of your question,1. im not sure why, but i think j drama show alot…
for the "i dont understand" part, what i mean is in my country seeing korean or japanese spend the night in public bathroom also shocking because i think when you say public bathroom i think a room with 4 walls or at least a curtain for you doing a bath but there's none, you casually strip your clothes and doing your business. like i wondering if they still doing that, but when i see some korean youtuber they said public bathroom is for elderly or someone with thick face. i think because toilet and bathroom is the same meaning, but public bathroom in korean is more wide with all services.
yeah maybe im a bit over saying west movie is full of naked. because many people happen to dress too short compared to what I usually see. and before im more closed minded person seeing that is a shock to me, but than i seeing a lot people start wearing some similiar outfit nowadays too, so i cant say much. i hope that help clear the misundertanding, english is my third language, so sorryy

helloo, to answer that i think that when you say culture shock, i mean i got confused to when i see west movie or film the set is full of half naked person, i mean we still fully clothed even at the beaches, because our conservative and fear of the sun. you know like every asian hate sun.
and if what you mentioned is the public bathroom that came with sauna, restaurants, exfoliation, hot springs, an inn, or many other that five hotels can offer than yes i think people can spend the night there. this for people that want to rest for a night, like a husband who doesn't want his wife found out he's been drinking all week, so he stay at public bathroom. and it actually cheap (cost 7-9 dollar, i think, ofc without the other nessecity). i still don't quite understand how they can spend the night in there thou. the whole public bathroom is shocking to as well, like i have to here but with a wall and a door, but in japan or korea the only thing that prevents your eyes is the fog

Hi, I'm from Europe. I have some questions about the culture. I'm not shocked because I know that the culture…
hii im from asia, so i want to answer some of your question,
1. im not sure why, but i think j drama show alot of teacher, pupils is because they always make it realistic as much as possible, so seeing school life or slice of life is maybe the common genre of what j drama give, im not sure this answer gonna help. and for the elders i think they more into variety show, or youtube, recently i found most young and old people in japan love to start watch or do streaming cmiimw
2. i think this common thing can happen, it's called bystander effect. and sadly not just korea i think, this is can happen in other country too. but maybe a lot of people that watch expected in kdrama that when you fell then there some random charismatic person help you, then you guys fell in love. you can find a lot social experiment in youtube about how concerning today's humanity
3. it's the culture. Every time you watch a series from a country, especially the one about life, it will not be far from how people in that country actually live. and in this case korean is drinking soju as a daily thing when it's winter, basic science, because it warms you since korea winter is really cold, it happen in other country such as rusia, but then other than that, alcohol in korea meaning to promote their fellowship or socializing, so yes koreans drink the largest amount of alcohol because it's their culture, and their tolerance maybe more high then the rest of the world
4. for fully dressed is actually quite common in asia, and if you sleep without clothes, there is more thing to question about. and a lot of household still using a fan to sleep, so people dont want to have a cold. or when the winter hit, it cheaper for double clothes than pay for the electricity of a heater. and yes, sometime a lot of people go out with their pajamas, as for me as long im not more than half an hour that mean im still clean to be on the bed
hope this help:)
