i won’t spoil much, but do not worry about a love triangle for the drama! bai xiaosheng is very VERY clearly made to be tianhui’s matchmaker, it’s in all the official promo and in his character profile. he’s their biggest shipper. if you’re wondering what his role is compared to the novel, he’s a mix of bai xiaolu (mostly by name) and huan xiaoyan (the protector of yan hui role; he hides in her shadow to protect her). he’s involved with one of the new villains as well, but will switch sides to good to defeat him. just wait and watch :D
