just finished episode 1 and I'm totally blown away! Jihoon's acting is fr improing each project he's taking on! Also love hyun wook's character sm till now and bumseok seems so adorable but someone who has trauma. I really wish the best for these 3!

I love how consort hwang's kid turned out to illegitimate! How the fck did she think she deserved the queen position, she's so annoying. She honestly has such a punchable face, kudos to the actress! Her exceptional acting skills really made me hate her so much!

This drama deserves the top spot! It's really exceptional and very unique based on a queen who is a mother to all the princes and a generous and kind queen to all her people! You should really give it a try!
I love love loveee each episode so much! I have nothing but respect for the writer and the cast! This drama is so far pacing so well. For people who find watching political based dramas hard to watch, I think you should try just watching at least the first 30 mins of this drama. Though the politic part is the main plot for this drama, its more easy-going and based on her as a mother and being caring!
I loved episode 12. But Am I the only one who thought that the selection for the crown princess and the ceremony was kind of rushed? But I don't have anything against it! Happy Waiting~
also I hate how Gao's self esteem is just dropping each episode. He just wants to do his very best and be successful and he's very hardworking too! I hate to admit it but being around ml really isn't good for him. And the ml being straightforward doesn't really help!
currently in ep 16 and I just love how the fl can stand her ground and isn't weak! I have a history of fl being weak and needed to be protected by ml in chinese dramas and they're a lot of unnecessary drama but this one till now has been exceptional! I love the chemistry between ml and fl and just love the slowburn! They complement each other so well and I just love this drama till now! But the heavy part is coming and I'm scared for what's to come!
Can't wait! Love Jung So Min in Alchemy of Souls and it's a pity she isn't there in season 2 but here! She's with haneul! Was waiting for haneul in romance!
nah the drama writers could have done so much better than the mess they have rn. the cheering theme (ik its done before) but in between all the university/college dramas it really felt unique and that's why I decided to give it a go. But, they have only disappointed me more & more these recent episodes. Just like everyone else, I'm sick of the sml still sticking around but it's not entirely his fault if you think abt it. Haeyi had a chance to set things right when the sml quit the club, he was trying to move on but she went and tried to persuade him to come back. Like, they weren't even that close and she knows that he likes her. She tries to put it as if he actually enjoyed the club activities but in reality anyone could guess that he entered because of her! She really is frustrating. I do like how the fl is so bright and cheery but really that is all there is to her personality. I also hate how she treats her brother, he gets great grades but she doesn't appreciate it at all? She tells him to work even harder, talk abt pressure? Another thing abt this drama, the writers have wayy too many ideas for this where they're tryna squeeze every tiny side story in these 16 episodes. Though the ideas and side stories are pretty good stand alones but they just ruin the flow of the story and it seems like the drama loses focus a lot!. Now let's talk abt ml screen time. Yes, sml got wayyy more screen time than him. If you didn't do prior research for the drama, you'd think the sml is the ml. I really really wish the drama focused more abt the cheering part because it seems so interesting than the boring and cliche love triangle which gets worse each episode. Also when the ml and fl get together it was so weird. Idk why she had a hard time choosing when she knew she liked the ml. And the timing just felt wrong. anyways I'll probably stick for a while more or just drop this but yeah it's a weak 7 outta ten for me. p.s thanks for reading my rant!
this is the best drama this whole year for me! The way the story paces is incredible! I was in awe in each and EVERY episode. The queen is such a stunning character I adore her so much. I love how she stands her ground even when the situation is tight, it shows how she's perfect for the Queen position. Where can you find such a loving mother, and such a loving queen to her subjects? The way she treats the other princes which aren't even biologically related to her? The way she treats any subject? She's just stunning. Kim Hye Soo did an OUTSTANDING job here. Her acting is just perfectly depicting the queen. The facial expressions are EVERYTHING. If you haven't still started watching this, you really should, no episode is a waste and the Queen is just stunning! A 10/10!
wait there's a webtoon called 'Purple Hyacinth' and the plot here sounds eerily similar to it. It has the female lead who can know when someone lies and the male lead is a murderer (a actual murderer tho, ig that's diff here). (she killed the prev. cp) 4. I'm not sure exactly when you're talking about but I think he had no special interest in studying so he use to skip classes just to have fun maybe. 5. If you have seen till I have then you'll know that consort hwang added something weird to cp's medicine and it turned out he died, so yes he was killed by her. 6. the queen's son IS the cp, she has i think 5 sons. I'm not sure why she started hating the queen and her kids but I think queen thinks that she's incompetent and so are her sons. 7. Consort tae seems to care for her son and wants to show his son that he can become the cp, on the other hand consort ko seems to try and put too much pressure on her son to become cp even though he's not passionate abt it. But they both are doing some sort cheating in the contest. Consort ko specially seems more evil compared to consort tae. 8. Not said much abt it yet but the queen did say that he was taken away? or it was for his protection. She also did say that she herself being a queen couldn't get him back but the cp was able to.
