The general wasn’t in the drama show. Which I am very glad. It was in the novel. The novel said Hua Rong left Qin Shang Cheng for many years and married, decree by the emperor. The novel was very dark and twisted. My heartache just reading it, the pain Qin Shang Cheng had to endure while watching his beloved woman married . Then read how he had to help her knowing that she was in love with her husband. Not a good lovey dovey novel for sure.

So glad they didn’t follow the novel. The novel is so twisted. The drama has more sweetness compared to the novel. And drama, Hua Rong is very playful. Novel, she is very gloomy. To now, I’m still confused by the novel, the son by Hua Rong, was Qin Shang Cheng or the general. Don’t get me wrong, has happy ending. Just very twisted sadness. Let’s hope the drama won’t have that kind of twisted sadness. After all, I saw a clip of Hua Rong’s father died and then she stabbed Qin Shang Cheng.
