MISCONCEPTIONS AND MORE ABOUT CP6:
This is based on my understanding on CP6 gameplay. It maybe diff. on how drama adapts it.
1. Do I need to watch previous seasons of Chinese Paladin to understand CP6?
No. It’s a standalone drama. Each series of the drama is adapted from the version of the game itself, hence diff. storylines. E.g. CP6 is adapted from the game of CP6 so that's the title, same thing will apply to another ver.
2. Do I need to watch chronollogicaly Chinese Paladin drama series to understand CP6?
No. Aside from my reasons above, there's no even CP2 drama created, and CP4 just aired in January 17. and our CP6 will air today, January 18, 6PM CST. So even if you want to, you can't.
3. Is Yueqi & Yue Jinzhao siblings?
No. They are not siblings. They both got amnesia. Jinzhao lend his surname Yue to Qi coz Qi can't even remember her surname.
Though they never disclosed the truth to their group at first.
4. Is Yueqi a human, weapon, or a beast?
I'll give some hint & be the judge. I'll answer it when drama finished.
Human = She sometimes lacks empathy & human understanding. Weapon = She's there to prevent something when 🤫🤫🤫 lose insanity Beast = She's from her mother's clan.
5. Will there be a love triangle?
The story isn't focus too much on love on the gameplay but it's very clear who's gonna end up who (It’s clear in the 2nd trailer who are the pairs). So no love triangle, Jinzhao just have cutie jealous tendency. It's more of group/self-discovery/ambition/town story/family/friendship storyline. Oh! The love triangle on LZY and twin (because it’s not the twin) and fox depends on how you see it. The Bian Luohan x Yueqi or Yueqi x Yue Jinzhao is complicated.. It’s a love triangle in a sense but at the same time it’s not. Its weird to say it as love triangle when you know the plot. It’s hard to explain because it’s not the typical love triangle everyone assumes so that’s why I say no love triangle.
6. Is there no romance b/n Qi & Jinzhao?
Slowburn romance but the plot isn't totally romance focus. It's an adventure genre. From the start, it's clear YJZ already likes YQ but she isn't aware. They're both dependent on each other. The concern & sweet gestures in eo is evident.
7. Main Villains?
There's many. Well the characters are gray characters. Let's just they're villains and antagonize/fight our heroes for their own reason. Conflict of interest/belief. Sometimes they're the enemy, and at some point they're an ally. Qi is needed for a reason 🤫
Like a lot of switching of sides here and there because of conflict of interest. From enemy to ally, From ally to enemy. Let's just say, they do what they think is good for their clan or group or family.
8. Is it more of an ensemble plot where the supporting cast has character arcs and plot points of their own, or more of a two-hander between the main leads, or something in-between?
They have their own ambitions/conflicts that may/may not overlap which each other conflicts. The characters there aren't created there just for main leads. Supporting cast have their own goal/loveline & conflict. Even people who live in towns they go to, the gameplay will show their beliefs/perspective. The good for your clan or good for humanity kind of debate.
So my advice, don’t hate anyone immediately or jump on conclusions. It depends on your perspective on who’s the enemy.
9. Is Yueqi a weak female lead?
Obviously from the trailer, she fights and she have magic.
Cuteness ≠ weak
She can defeat monsters all by herself. She just doesn't show she have powers or all her strength because she's wary of their team members. A HUMAN WEAPON. She's created to destroy the most powerful one. It's not the typical that she only become physically strong at the middle or end of story.
No. She's not the typical b@dass strong fml that society perceives but she's not weak. She's physically strong. She can a defeat a monster all by herself. She even save Yue Jinzhao at some point. There are many scenes in gameplay where she shows her strength. She can already fight & defeat monsters even some of her power are sealed. She's naive but she can easily comprehend & understand plans & decisions. She's spoiled by Yue Jinzhao. She let YJZ do the cooking and decisions for them because she trust him. Yue Jinzhao and Yue Qi shares a bond that comes to a point they're dependent on each other.
She just doesn't show she have powers or all her strength because she's wary of their team members & others.By meaning of wary of other team members = YJZ advises her not to show it. But there's a scene in gameplay where she pretend to be captured, LZY is worried but YJZ let her do her own thing and shows her power 🤣
Being weak is very subjective. Some are just weak because of others' preferences/stereotype. Some are not just great in the areas where others are but doesn't mean they're dumb or untalented. All the characters in CP6 have some flaws or weakness in some points but doesn't mean it's they're weak as a whole.

I suspected early on GSJ's true intention regarding his treatment towards GZY.

Yes. It's also MJTY deleted the poster that didn't include the main leads, proving of guilty. They give all the benefits, promo magazines, to second leads.
