I guess we have different how we perceived things. I'm from asia so we don't really think like that. It is just harsh assumption. Your way of thinking makes me uncomfortable and disrespected and instilling your western ideologies to an asian is somewhat disrespectful. It is really offending to correlate Infantilization to an asian woman when the meaning of Infantilization is treating an adult as a child (there's someone behind the action, not you victim blaming woman)

I find the voice endearing and sweet but not in a malice ways. I never associated a child with her voice. People have different kind of mindset. I don't get why some are used to suggesting awful meanings to innocent things in a way it is disrespectful to the actress because you are accusing her and forcing your ideologies of such and we fan who always follow her never think of it that way. I find such things as harrassment. A pervert will always be a pervert and no woman would endanger herself and fellow woman.

A pervert will find ways to turn any idea to malicious thing and it would NEVER be a woman's fault. A pervert mind should be in jail. Their thinking SHOULD NEVER BE JUSTIFIED AND BLAME TO ANYONE!

There are so many complain but there are also who loves Esther Yu / Yu Shuxin's Voice. It just that negative gather a lot of attention. It is a matter of preference 💛✨️. I, myself really find it endearing. She has 19+ Million fans of weibo that loves her and she is one of the actress that have high active followers ✨️💛. She only has a few dramas but all of it has a high index. It proves that most really find it endearing. For those who don't, as long as they are really respectful, we Pomegranates really don't mind. It is been a tiring issue of some Int'l viewers. There's a dubbing option in their country though to fit their preference every time their respective channel purchase broadcasting rights. We find it amusing though that some people who once hate her voice now find it endearing because they keep following her and our Poms family keeps growing that's why we tend to chill now.

I love Yu Shuxin! She's really cute! What I love about her is that she will really write long essay for her characters🥰. She's a great actress although her versatility are only shown in advertising film and some of her supporting roles. Not are all lucky to have a company to let you explore your acting skills. I believed one day they will also let her choose other role just like her senior Janice Wu who also started also acting cute and now exploring serious roles. But for now, I'm contented. Plus I love her sweet voice everytime she sings an OST! People always amazes how big shuxin's improvement since YWY2.

Btw, Her CP sense is also incredible. This is because due to her friendliness that's why most of the celebrity promotes her drama.
Additionally, even she's been hiatus twice to acting, evidently on her few dramas we can only watch, her charm always brings her to the top, bonus is the script she chooses. To see her play cute over all again, is not tiresome but very enjoyable still that's she gathers a lot of mom fans and feeling mom fans. For an audiences who really watches her knows that her cute characters have different depths.


P. S. I love how she is an overall around girl and learns photoshop, photography, etc. because her company doesn't give her much resources and there's an incident where she needs to change a manager because she betrays her. So the issue that she is popular because only of her company is laughable. YSX auditions a lot of roles. What even loveable about her、if she got rejected she will mention or refer someone who might fit the role. She is never selfish.


Idk, why others think being a supporting role to some popular actress is bad for their fave? Everyone starts with a small step and need some help. We YSX fans all asked is to respect our fave and will also do the same and even do more for your actress because our fave is never selfish to share the spotlight. Don't act mighty and be grumpy about your fave acting as support roles. YSX become a supporting role as Cai Minmin to Victoria Song and become popular. We never disrespect Victoria Song the same way some of you did instead we became grateful.

(It is quite understandable that they censored this one but with Episode 3 and 12 I don't understand 🤣) It is just sweet simple moment. I don't know if there's more scenes that didn't make it because this is the most moments I remember and liked.

They make the main lead storyline broken while the 2nd lead is complete 😭 Why? As I've said before we are okay sharing the airtime but not cutting the scene of the main leads.

BTS are more like becoming the actual episodes.
They can share the screen time with the 2nd lead but why delete most of the main lead sweet moments 😭 Main lead storyline is kinda broken and fragmented (it is obvious on the transition of the cuts of the latest episode) while the 2nd line story is full. But remember it is editing at fault not the actors 🥰

This is an idol drama targeted to YSX and ZBB's fan, I get why most people are mad on weibo. The fans work hard. Air time sharing is okay. They just feel disrespected cutting the scenes of the main leads.

People on weibo complain and demand that they just changed the title to wheelchair something 🤣. It is all the editor's fault though, so I have nothing against the 2nd Lead couple even though they aren't my bet thus skipping their scenes. Liking or dislikinga voice is very subjective. It is very soothing for some of us and cute. It might be different from you though. It is that, Negative comment is much more easy to notice. This is just a light hearted comedy and I'm just watching it for fun and it is on sweet on series on Youku so I really don't expect a complicated plot. Watching it should be fun and if you are not enjoying it, maybe it is not your cup of tea. 🥰

The over the top acting is part of Yu Meiren acts and it is found in her self monologue at times. It is really funny when the character dislike itself 🤣

About being cringe, the character have self monologue about it 🤣. Idk if you are really watching. There's no dramatic scenes yet with another female side characters. 🤣 I think you are in the wrong page. I'm not sure if we are watching the same drama.

I think she is indeed recognizable but Yu Meiren have this deep seated insecurity. She was bully before and she thinks up until now that if she would not wear make up, she's ugly. In the drama, everyone praised her beauty but no one told her she's pretty without a make up. Her makeup is her outlet. Somehow she has this dysmorphia. Even Prof. Zhuang Yu easily recognized her who doesn't care about girls and only cares for work.🤣

The fl doesn't continue to practice her PhD, she basically change her career without her parents knowing. I don't know her reason, maybe in the upcoming episodes.

This is a Romantic Comedy and a light hearted one. Maybe not really your type of story and it is alright.


The buildup of the story is kind of slow because we only are shown of YMR one side up until now and not the other why she didn't used her PHD and choose the beauty blogger path instead.

But it is really petty of YMR and yet funny to act idiot in front of Prof Zhuang Yu just because he calls her idiot in their earlier days. 🤣 I love comedy thats' why I'm sticking and digging this.
