Bittersweet ending is more memorable (although make our heart broken)
I enjoy slow burn drama with many detail attention in directing and smart writing, and also improve character development for each characters.
also, in this drama I don't rant for the FL (like I usually do when I watch historical cdrama)..the strong character FL is one I like the most, and in this drama, Li Landi do great job to portray the Jiang Ci character who is very consistent from start until beginning..
Agree with you, this drama maybe is not "perfect" but it is one of historical drama that I am cherished

for me, it is happier than one and only..in one and only the ML and SML don't have chance to be together because of his oath, he is framed and can do anything, plus when Zhousheng Chen can not meet Shi Yi, only leaving a letter, but here Wei Zhou has fulfilled almost all of his mission in this world (except back alive as his promise to jiang ci), but at his last breath they can meet and say farewell properly, already sealed/vow his marriage and leaving a son to accompany Jiang Ci (and also as descendant of his Xiao family)..
so although it is very sad, but I think I can still rewatch this drama (until ep 39 LoL.hehehe)

yes he is, he died in the fire..he get killed by his own trap for Wei Zhou..

actually quite many lol...I hope that Allen mgt can maintain the quality his script choice/production for his project, because in the past there are many of his drama that inconsistent in quality.. this is just my opinion tough.
for example after get great drama such as One and only, he play in the fire fighter drama blue assault that as much I like Allen I can't finish the episode 1 for the mind blowing scene hahaha.. and then i watch with many skip of thousand year for you. his acting maybe okay but the drama is quite hard to swallow even i have tried hard to watch it.. and then for burning flame, it is okay in the beginning but after that it get downward..and I also don't like the FL character so I just dropped it..
That's why finding Allen drama that is work for me such as love of nirvana, is such a bless.. I have already look for his upcoming drama and it sound promising

Yueluo in the past is just like the nirvana where its landscape is breathtakingly beautiful, full with good food and the warm of people but after 20 years oppression it is become just like the hell, and what wei zhou did can rebuild Yeuluo just like in the past.
And their romance time are indeed happen in Yueluo, from when they in Feast Day, hugging in snow and their last time together, although their happy time is full with teary eyes too.

i want to try snowy night.. i like li qin but joseph not make me swoon to much.. I know it is just my bias because he is good actor and often has good project..but dunno just my preference I think..hope the story is amazing that i can be fans of joseph

same, i still reluctant to move on.. have watch other dramas, but I can't continue..and I keep rewatch some of the episode (until 39 off course haha) and listening to the ost..the ost in this drama is superb..it is quite a while that the drama has full of package OST that soo beautiful

I also remember that I drop this drama because of the editing seem awkward., eventhough I like the actors..
I am happy that recent cdrama already pay attention of editing so the quality already improve much..well maybe I will try to watch from episode 30 something until the end to soothe my heart after Wei Zhou dies LoL

I would like to share my opinion that maybe can help you choose whether should watch this dramanor not.
I like Allen as actor so whenever his new drama came out, I will check it out.. but his dramas are hit or miss for me..
his drama that really good in my opinion is one and only, blue whisper ( so..so.. becoz I am not xianxia fan) and love of nirvana.
In fact I put love of nirvana for my best costume drama in 2024 (until oct..who knows there will be another great drama LoL)

I cant finish that drama..as much that I like Allen and Jeremy..but I still cant haha..the FL character is not great and the flow or the story is not engaging

I have rewatched it before I got to ep 35 for express end. LoL..and I really appreciate the flow and the directing...the directors put concern in detail..and they even remember to erase WZ scratch little by little (eventhough i notice of some mistakes maybe becoz of the different schedule of filming haha)..many other drama didn't put attention to that kind of detail...at night the ML get wounded or bump and in the morning wound has already gone LoL

yes Zhouseng chen and Wei zhou suffer because he does not have big power...glad that he become king in this drama...I recall that Allen rare acts as king, he often play as general hehehe

After Love of Nirvana, I want more of Allen new drama...Demon hunter seems like not my cup of tea, I prefer palace or wuxia drama...So I eagerly to watch this drama....
For Peng Xiao Ran, only one of her drama that I like that is Good bye my princess..
since this drama has quite the same premise, love and hate drama but with Happy Ending (hopefully)..I hope the drama can release soon

I really apreciate Landi Li for her acting..especially in that scene..how she tremble when she said the word

I hear the news that Jeremy and his management has reached new understanding..prwviously he pull out from acting because not satisfied with his mgt...don't know if it meansthat he will be back to acting soon..but I always have soft spot to jeremy

Yes..emperor didn't clear Qiao Wuxia father name..becoz it mean he should open the real secret that happen 20 years ago that he force Primce Qi to kill himself..but in the end Yueluo people did understand the real things and acknowledge that Qiao family is not a sinner..it showed to us when people of Yueluo give flower in the place of Wuxia remain..

In my opinion, It is very good drama ..i am not bias toward the ML actor because many of his previous drama that I can't finished hehe..but thia one ia soo good..
And I like the FL characters..she is cheerful yet strong and decisive
