I think when they say not likable they dont mean that they dislike the character because they aren't a good person…

The way i see it, hyewon had gone through a lot and she can't let people see her vulnerability. She even says "i don't trust other people". She is mentally strong (slapping the thugs when not a lot of us viewers can handle the situation), not even crying when the sml comfort her. When she show her weakness, the ml turn her down but the timeskip made it there is more to it than that and we have to wait to see. In short, weak damsel in distress doesn't make it a good show. Plus, who knows, maybe this is just a bromance drama.

nah, i don't think lgbt has anything to do with birthrate. it's due to media pressuring the young generations. the media portray the success of young generations as working as a salaryman in a big company and living alone in a apartment. in a perfect world, yes it is a perfect setup to get married. what they forgot to account for is their culture itself, the polite and never burden anyone. these cultures, give birth to overly polite people that think asking someone out may be making that someone uncomfortable and a burden to the invitee. thus, the "wizard" race are born. do you know that rental families are in high demand in japan? their clients are this "wizard" and "witch" that are overly polite, overly awkward that don't know how to speak to the opposite gender. these problems are especially dire among introvert people. they got an okay salaryman job, rent an apartment and just die alone. all these tvshows about reality dating is not helpful either when most of time a good chunk of the ladies go for the richer guy instead of follow their initial impression and hearts (some of them already make an investigation on the guys, it shows when suddenly they became infatuated eventhough the rich guy is a playboy as$hole and keep throwing themselves at him). how do these lonely, living alone, awkward, introvert, low self-esteem and poor guy even have a chance to fight.
