it is the same as the fire incident where the altered timeline nearly cause the life of a child. Poor ML, his intention is to save his own death, ends up getting more deep shit. ☹️

The death is unexpected and the scene he was murdered reminded ML of his own future death. This is why ML is in a shock/daze and out of character.

Yes, the death was unexpected and the scenario reminds him of his own death, which is why he is in shock/daze and there could be some guilt too. I was wondering could this death be a "replacement" for his own death as the future timeline would have already altered due to the main couple's intervention.
