Not everyone wants a side of "explicit" with their Korean movie/drama night. Some adults prefer more subtlety…
"Past few days now"

I've been in this comments section for a day. My criticism of the drama is a spark in a tinderbox, I'm hardly setting fire to things

Edit: other people letting my comments influence their watchlist or opinions isn't my problem

Watching something 18+ doesn't mean I'll turn off my brain and accept whatever the creators throw at me

In a society where creators shirk responsibility for their content, I will likewise shirk responsibility for my reactions. Should I start cursing them out, going ballistic and setting things on fire, don't say I didn't warn you

i Must be getting old coz i dont find the sex scenes super-shocking like some people here. Watch Game of Thrones.…
If porn is supposed to open our eyes to a world beyond, why does it always show the same thing? People having "sex," in the same positions, with the same people. I could predict every plot twist with my eyes closed: guy meets girl, they engage in sweaty, grunting, skin-on-skin action, the end

Is that the best the internet has to offer? Where's the variety?

I can't stand "straight" scenes or "straight" identifying people. To me, they're a bad case of food poisoning and make my stomach churn, so we're even

Korean movies have some of the most exclipt sex scenes, always... So yes, you do sound childish complaint about…
Not everyone wants a side of "explicit" with their Korean movie/drama night. Some adults prefer more subtlety and class in their entertainment. That's not childish

Two seconds? More like two hours of therapy to scrub explicit images from the mind. Creators have a responsibility to their audience. They're not creating content for themselves, they're putting it out into the world for us to consume. Once they do that, they should take into account the effect their content will have on viewers

"Sex" doesn't have to be explicit. A glance here, or a sultry line of dialogue there would acknowledge that "sex" exists without hitting us over the head with it

"... there’s nothing weird about the human body"That's your opinion. What might be appropriate or comfortable…
"Sex scenes" are stylized with the intention of arousing the audience, similar to how porn is intended to be arousing. They use close-ups of body parts, slow-motion shots and suggestive camera angles to create an arousing atmosphere

"Porn" is as staged and acted as any other kind of entertainment. Porn stars put on a show to entertain and arouse an audience

There's no clear distinction between the two types of performances

I appreciate your well wishes, thank you

You're welcome to search for conspiracy "theories" to feel better. While you're at it, look into the theory that some people agree with my points

Nude and "sex" scenes are more focused on skin than substance, they do reduce actors and actresses to their bodies

Even if the acting is Oscar-worthy, it can't save a script that's thinner than a supermodel's waistline. It doesn't hold my interest

Getting angry because there is nudity and/or sex is insane. Grow up. Turn it off. Clearly, this isn't for you…
We're not reducing the actors and actresses to their bodies, the nude and "sex" scenes are doing that. We can't admire their acting talents when they're baring it all

Explicit "sexual" content is more objectifying and problematic than a shirtless scene or implicit "sexual" content

Warning or no warning, explicit objectification isn't okay. You sound like someone who'd say, "I'm going to punch you in the face, and I'll warn you first, so it's okay." No, it's not okay

It ain't that deep. It says that it's an 18+ drama, so don't watch it if you're not above 18. It warned people…
An 18+ warning label isn't a free pass for subpar storytelling and underdeveloped characters. If producers spent less time pandering to the lowest common denominator and more time on character development, they wouldn't have relied on shock value to keep the audience hooked. Explicit content can be insulting to our intelligence. They're treating us like we're incapable of filling in the gaps ourselves

We don't need to be spoon-fed every detail, subtlety can go a long way

The left's blind acceptance and glorification of prostitution (by extension, the "sexualization" of actresses) and pornography is a significant reason for my distance from liberal politics

the anger regarding the nudity is insane. this is a drama meant for older audiences, if you’re 12 you shouldn’t…
"... there’s nothing weird about the human body"

That's your opinion. What might be appropriate or comfortable for one person might not be for another

The human body is a squishy mess of plumbing, hormones and awkward noises. An adult might not want to watch other adults connect their squishy bits. It's not "insane," "weird," or "childish" to want to keep "nudity" and "sex" in the bedroom and off screens

A "simulated sex scene" is porn with fancier cinematography and a better soundtrack. You're trying to make a distinction between "classy" porn and "trashy" porn. People get off to both of them, there's no difference
