He played well, I watched in the stadium.. he got good aplause from the crowd..

If he plays different roles other than romance , he will get wide audience and more fans / exposure.. i am sure he can play any role with ease.. all his previous roles were different from each other.... he is versatile..

1.If you like both the lead cast , it will be worthy to watch.. I liked Dylan in every character he played before and this one too.. so I thoroughly enjoyed.. so if you are not impressed by him in previous roles, then it is very unlikely to like this new role..
2. Or if you have read the novel before, and if you like that, you will like it.. i read the novel too
3.I like Bailu , so we dont know whether they will work again in future, their chemistry was very beautiful for me..unique..

So it is upto to you to decide..

If it is entirely boring , no one will be able to continue watching.. they will just drop and go , even if it had great cast.. but even they think to drop it , they are not dropping .. they are coming again..they want to see how it gets finished.. so that is working out for this drama..

People who give negative comments are still watching .. so there is something that makes them watch..

My favourite and go to drama.. people who like this ,will like it so much.. if they cant relate to the characters at the start in beginning episodes , they wont like it.. this drama's strength according me is the chemistry between the leads, trust between the friends , and various characters ..they all stay true to their roles.. relaxing and comforting to me.. watched many times.. so it will be purely personal taste for people to like it or hate it..

ML will not have any one to care for him from childhood.. so he is an adamant person without any love / sentiments to any one but a very good king to his subjects and will do anything for the country's protection and peace.. only the FL will change him and make him realize his other side( even his love for his mother).. Both ML and FL character will be strong.. ML character at times has grey shades, but he completely changes bacause of the FL

FL and dead concubine share the same soul ( dead concubine is dummy created by FL's mother using a magic to save the actual FL right after her birth without soul ..so when the dummy dies, the original soul is replaced into her body-- the story will be told only in last few episodes)

So the new body will be permanent

ML loves only the
FL , ( not even any other concubines,
not even his dead wife before or after)..ML story is that he is sent to baicang tribe during childhood as
hostage. So only with the help of FL 's father he is throned as king ( on the order of dead King).. so he marries his daughter even if she is mentally ill.. he kept her with respect and servants , but in an accident he killed her without being able to control himself..

The drama has 3 climax.. 1. One is positive one ( the original climax)-- i liked this one
2.one is negative
3.another a cliff hanger..

This drama is like murder mystery investigation kind of story with good plot .. pace is slow but nice twists and turns.. last 6 episodes are fast ..this is not a love story , so very less romance elements between main leads .. but scenes between zhang si fan and female lead is very nice and i came here after watching my dear destiny .. so i came to watch for Zhang si fan.. i liked him a lot here too ..i also liked the performance of Yu meng long as a reserved , highly intelligent character ... very measured composed acting by him.. FL is also very beautiful and done a great job.. i kept my expectation very low when i started watching , story ended well for me.. Nice drama..worth my time..

I enjoyed this drama so much .. i loved zhang si fan's performance a lot .. romance and chemistry between the leads ,according to me was outstanding.. i have rewatched main leads romance scenes alone ,several times.. also liked the story , the pace , other characters involved..
