My guess is that the dragon is an animal (maybe a lizard) affected with Affinity B-like the octopus in the first episodes. Also there is no time travel, rather than dreaming/hallucination, probably caused by the strange mist. Personally, I don't think that the plot is all over the place. It is still consistent-or at least logically explained by the rules of this universe).

My guess is that Sun Jae didn't commit suicide in the original timeline. Im Sol's kidnapper killed him after he' d got released from jail as a revenge because he was caught because of Sun Jae.
In the current timeline, the kidnapper failed the first time and he tried to kill Im Sol one year later. Again Sun Jae saved Im Sol and caused the kidnapper to go to jail. Thus he will try to kill him in the current timeline as well.

I am now in episode 18. My guess Qiu Jing Zhi is not a villain but an ally in disguise. I also see two potential couples (although I am ok with no romance in this drama): Li Bing and the daughter of the five element medice inventor, and Qiu Jing Zhi and Shangguan Qin.

I could see him playing a younger version of Lee Min Ho, but I can see the resemblance with Zhang.

I think this show is a bit underappreciated. It is supposed to be dorky and funny and satirical, and the cast and writer are doing a great job with the female empowerment aspect. To be honest it is the first Caesar Wu's drama that I manage to finish. In general, I find his acting a bit dull. I didn't expect him to be this good in a comical role.

I thought the exact opposite thing. I haven't watch FSF in another drama and in terms of looks he wasn't my cup of tea. Too stiff, too gloomy, he had a tiring old look in his face. But in the lovey dovey scenes with MZH he seemed like a complete other person. Like he was at least 10 years younger, he seemed cuter and brighter. I guess is a combination of make up and FSF's acting skills that allowed him to portray so well the whole spectrum of different emotional states.

Lord Ding always looked so gloomy, so tired, older than he was supposed to be. He carried so much grief. And now, after getting in a relationship with MZH he looks literally younger than before. I don't know if it is because of FSF ability to convert the emotions of his character on his face or the makep-up team actually changed his make-up. Anyway, he seems so natural smiling because of MZH.

Well considering that she is supposed to be the first female official after many years, and considering the difficulties she had to surpass to achieve it-even if she had the help of LY- she is a legend.

I agree! They look so natural together. Feng Shao Feng is not my cup of tea regarding his looks but he is so charming in this role. It suits him well.

Same here. I rarely manage to watch a drama of this genre to the end. But now I find myself waiting for new episodes.
I think both leads do an amazing job. A big pro for me that we finally see a general that has the build of an adult, experienced military man instead of a cute, almost teenage guy.

Sooo true! Well she is of Uyghur ethnicity and he is half Russian. Maybe this explains up to a point their resemblance as both of them have both Asian and European characteristics.

I could understand if they shared the same parents but had dominant/recessive bloodlines, but Jing Mu An kept saying they share the same mother-not parents-although he also mentioned he has wolf blood in him. Seems like a plot hole to me.

Question: Kui Mu Lang and Jing Mu An are supposed to share the same mother (it was mentioned twice so far in the series). Yet at some point Jing Mu An states that although he has mostly his mother bloodline he also has wolf blood in him. Furthermore, Kui Mu Lang states that those of a wolf bloodline marry only once in their life. So we can assume that if the two siblings share one parent that parent is not a wolf. They also seem to have only a couple of years age gap (especially as seen in the scenes where the two of them were young).
Anyway, here is my question. KML and JMA's mother had two partners (KML father and JMA father)? Like as men could have multiple concubines? Or did she remarried after KML's father dead? If the latter who took care of the plague staff since the heir (KML) was only a few years old?

I don't get why people complain about the fact that Qi Pa does not appreciate Kui Mu Lang's love towards her.
She was kidnapped by an unknown, was transferred into a foreign state and forced to get married. She doesn't even know that KML does all this to save his tribe and that he genuinely fell in love with her.
All she knows is that she is kept captivated against her will by a horrific-looking (according to her) guy.
Although I'd argue that KML isn't horrific-looking at all and in fact you can definitely tell he and LiXiong is the same guy (I mean come on, she should at least realize it when he wears his hoody- same figure, same eyes).
PS, I feel that this drama has a strong Starry Love vibe for some reason.

CF tried to kill YT because she witnessed the attempt of the assassination of the 2nd prince. He also admitted he was the one that change the bridal carriages causing YT and QK so much trouble and don't forget that he tried to kill LaMu, all that while lying to QK and exploiting her. So, I think she has a handful of legit reasons to hurt CF.

I keep thinking that the members of her tribe are descendants of the immortals. Thus, the white clothes. I might somehow explain why they were considered traitors and were annihilated.

This is one of the few dramas ever since I' ve started watching asian dramas (around 4 years ago) that I can't wait for the next episode to air.
The plot is very interesting, the pace very good, I love their costumes and the performance of all actors/actresses is very good. Especially Chen Xing Xu's. He can act so good he can convince me he is 4 different persons, yet I feel I can see how each soul shard have a common base and how they are connected to Shaodian.

I totally agree. I didn't like him in the first place and I can't understand how some people consider CF and QK a good match-at least considering the episodes so far. From the very beginning he was manipulative and repeatedly put her in danger.
