When stuying f.e. Korean as major and I talk allways Thai, as I am from Thailand ... How will I for real learn Korean. I am talking aside of my native language English and French and the best way to do aside of lessons in school talking with the locals in their language! Anything else is unreal and doesn´t help. A principle I learned from learning and later in school from my teachers.
That´s my problem with this BL show ... on the other hand I liked the crime connection which is setting the uni scenery appart, it otherwise could have been and all too worn out now.
The acting was stiff, the kissing was most terrible, and again this prudery don´t touch me behavior, esp. in the end ... The crime was nice constructed but ended a bit hilarious for my taste. And the culprits, the murderer ... his motivation? A glimpse was shown to think out of love for the Youtuber, who caused the injury ... 3 guys rejecting the others love ... Live can be cruel. And not everybody can take a rejection well.

Sometimes the actors are for my taste too overreacting, esp. the support characters and there the gossip club…
Kirino´s way of life in sadness and fullfilling societies demnands is what the ultra conservative jerks want have, all the LGBTQIA+ invisable again and squeezed frustrated into a "norm" that is only in the head of those religious motivated hypocrits,

... true but after some time, for me :)

Mishima Futoshi and Yumeno Taro did finally find their love for each other when depicting their future, and Mishima doing drag can be seen as a consequence ...
Kirino Makoto choose the other way as Mishima thought when riding back home ... the standard life, despite a kid, or more?, but did not give him the satisfaction he needed ... his look into the sky was filled with sadness.
I liked the BL seriesm despite the clownesque and silent movie like slapstick reactions of the villagers.
But I am asking myself ... WHY?
Anyhow, worth watching!

Da war kein Hinweis auf "XY is naive. Et je regrette de n'avoir jamais rencontré de personnes aussi naïves. Et oui, elles existent. Mais il s'agit d'une représentation dégradante, dégradant le personnage gay. Une chose que l'extrême droite et les fascistes adorent.
And, btw. it would bepolite towards the others, when sticking to English, even if I talk French, as haveing French relatives. As the most of the conversations here are in English.

... very artificial construction to make sense to the show.

That´s family only and nothing to do with reality in univerties. And living in another country it is most necceary to talk with the locals in the language of their tongue. Anything is else is plain impolite.
Oh and I learned that Korea is quite unwilling against foreigners not talking their language in cases as depicted in the show.

Yes a colaboration, but that means talking the language of the country where my uni is! I am multilingual and friends of mine are too. BUT never we talk in our native tongue and the other is answering in his, except for single moments. And the same is for my family in France and Scotland. Being there we talk French or English. And vice versa German here.

"Pat falls in love with his strict mixed-race boss named Elyes." ... mixed-race ... since long science explained there is no such thing existing, as different human "races"! It ethnicies. As the Homo Sapiens is only one.

Why are they not even tying to speak Korean, if it´s their major? Thoughts in Thai would be okay and normal. but allways one talking Thai and everybody understands? I hate when stories are constructed unlogical. Despite the interesting murder sideplot.

Hm ... a remake? Can it be good? The most I had been watching handn´t been good. But this is a surprise. The actors are younger than the characters they portray 15/16 playing 17 old boys. Moh is struggeling coming to terms with being gay, while Pun loved/liked (I hate this "I like you" instead of being clear! and liking is NOT loving!) Noh since grade 2 ... Despite being with Aim he somehow knows he is gay. I knew it with the age of 4 and had my first bofriend with 10. Not normal but not not so unkcommon! Pun´s retreat after the 1st possible kiss is believable, when he can´t believe Noh is attracted to him too. But that both won´t enbrace and kiss at the beach after confessing "I like (love) you" ... unbelievable even in conservative, 19th century jailed, societies. Teenagers have hormones raging and would kiss and do more. I f.e. knew with 10 what to do and how, despite having not been educated about ... rare, not common, but happens, I am not the only one. And with 17 ... hell around me, including me, in school was a great get together and testing out.
The novel is written by "Kwang" Latika Chumpoo, a female Thai screenwriter and novelist. And in the 1st adaption and this 2nd, you feel and see the BL is written and the show produced not for a gay audience, but female. Some female authors get it done well and can write too for a gay audience. And describe they lovelife real and not mystified and not 19th century heterosexual painted "pink". But if ou feel and see that the guys are acting not real its bland or just for ... for what? I can´t really tell. And its sad.
And the sadness is hitting big times when the Ladyboys are portrayed as too often, esp. in Thai BLs, but elsewhere too, as a rediculous and comical "attraction". I would say just a humanrights violation, that depicting of transwomen! Equality and acceptance ... it is not. To be true, it is even a slap in the face of any gay and especially any transwomen. Its degrading! Its Antitrans!
The acting of the main leads is fantastic non the less and more believable than in LOCE SICK 1/2, the 1st adaption. And for the 1st adaption there is video existing where the actor portraying then Pun is loud shooting out he is not gay, and babbles something like you can take poising for ... quite homophobic that guy. After he wasn´t seen in any other BL, except for a show, a crime, where gay characters played in, but not a BL. He was a support character of the inspector then.

No, not the same actors ... but the figures most likely.

I agree with the tears, I skip all of Put's crying scenes, but the rest of this comment seems backwards to me.…
The media I am referring to are classics of film history. The caricature of queer people was first particularly intense in the Anglo-Saxon world, England USA previously their colony, whereby the Protestants outflanked the Catholics and drove the Democrats before them like the AltRight. Evilly spoken, the overprudent English, who despised nature, introduced their "moral concepts" into the world as colonisers, invaders and as a leading economic and cultural power for a long time.

Comparisons are lame. Chot is different. I notice you like how Bruce portrays the Chot, maybe because you like Bruce ... but I still find it deeply problematic and old clichés. Even the most oversexed gays are not that extreme and like a caricature. Even Chot is laid out like a joke character for me. I think that's just a shame.

In old movies, gays often played the villains, or dodgy characters rarely played the good guys and they were always portrayed overly affected/acting. Even little things like a perfumed pocket square were used to devalue them, or simply the use of cologne.... Loosely based on: only men who stink of sweat are real men.

His story is indeed new to the group of people he portrays, so with its own love story ... I found this particularly good, not his portrayal of how, but that his lover finally wants to bring Chot to his parents.

I think you have completely disqualified yourself with your stupid attack ... and just one thing in conclusion little fly ... it IS inhumane and human rights violating to portray people like I criticised ... and that has damn NOTHING to do with Thai culture. Human rights are universal worldwide, also in Thailand, U now don't steal my time anymore. Because you don't want to discuss, and I don't want to waste my time with rednecks.

oh nice to hear a stupid mind babbling ... A bit too much drunken from Xi´s toilett? Human Rights are mandatory and NOT depending on Western or Eastern standards. Little dragonflySS I well aware where the show was produced and which audience ... just, it can be seen ww. And little stupid dragonflySS I don´t do what you demand, something like you can´t intimidate me ... You especially can´t handle other´s opinions ... very like the NAZIs. Not qualified? I guess you are the one ... don´t take your little selfreflection from your broken mirror to judge others. Ferme ta geule.

About Bruce I know. For backwards ... to the contrary! In "olden times" I would have accepted Bruce´s portraying of Chot ... but hell it is so denouncing for Human Rights and standards. And yes there are people being overexcalted or bad woording efiminate, but not that way. Old queer characters, the vilain e.g. in the Maltese Falcon or in one Connery Bond film, mwhere he then is blunt homophobic. Yeah and the stereotypes in general ... it is boring. You see the tyxpe of Chot in Philippine BLs, most as trans. As well as Ladyboys in Thai productions. Or the one character in 2 Moons 3 ... which I skiped for that. It is as I said denouncing and I stay with that and as the BL genre is targetting mainly hetero femals, it is more than questionanle to have such charaters.

A lot of derogative names especially for gays have roots in foreign languages. Partly because simply not understanding, often with English, and to humiliate others, the so called feminine, the more. But that tootsie is originated in the Thai toot ... I am surprised. And thanks for educating. When you had your "breakdown" at the end of No 9 it wasn´t that obvious, that you hadn´t no tears ... sometimes I missed your standing your ground, e.g. in No 10 but that was the script ... you showed but good your desperation.
