Yeah I definitely get it. You do make alot of valid points. Although if he stopped getting battered and bruised after his father died, since the lack of communication, she could of took it as a "my father's died let's change my ways" kind of thing. Honestly don't know. We might never understand till we become parents ourselves. Although I don't think she'd be able to put two and two together. Even with all that information just seems not the first thing people would think of. Plus sometimes people choose not to think too much incase they are just over thinking a teenagers actions maybe. 🤷‍♀️ About reassuring him absolutely she should of. Even something along the lines of "I might have a new family now but you'll always be my son and I'll always be here for you" would have done wonders for his mentality. Which she most definitely didn't help with. I do think that calling are "trash" is a bit of a stretch but yes she is definitely not perfect by a long shot. Hopefully she got better during the time skip. Hirukawa needs a better parent figure about what he endured.

I sort of get what you been but also no. It isn't his mother's fault that he thinks that way. She has never once said anything of the sort. And she still has Hirukawa in her life. If she had completely shut him out of her "new family" I could understand but otherwise not really. And yes while she's obviously not the perfect mother constantly remarking about how's he's like his father. Who is. And she was so happy for him when he said he wanted to go to university. Can you really complain about her when she's still happy for him even after the death of his father. She's never once blamed him for that either. Which honestly since she didn't know what he turned out like after their separation, I'm happy she's never questioned him on his fathers death, since to an outsider it would most definitely look strange. Also I hope you don't think I'm trying to argue. I'm not. It's just a friendly debate. We can have different opinions. Just sharing my thoughts on the matter. ^^

Hirukawa's Mum didn't run from the abuse. She didn't even know it was happening. How can she protect him when she was never told. Hirukawa purposely hid it from her and others. And i can't remember what episode but Hirukawa himself said the abuse started AFTER she left. So she wasn't there. I'm guessing it was a normal divorce and the father didn't take it well so he ended up taking it out on their son.

I don't know if I'm just gullable or what but does anyone else think Bai Jiu isn't truly a spy or atleast not a complete one like he's maybe a little weary about betraying them and/or has doubts. Like i don't know he just doesn't seem sly enough to infiltrate and get information successfully. Or even get someone to fall into a trap planned by the person coming up with the schemes. I mean he has almost been caught several times. And i mean even before the whole spy thing was mentioned.

I know its so sad! 😭 What's worse is he essentially died for nothing.
He died thinking his death would cure everyone and Qing geng would be free he got the second one but the first one didn't happen that only happened because Bai Jiu figured it out. And if Fei lived he could have been around people they would just need the concoction to prevent the plague.
Fei deserved better 😭 He just always looked like a lost puppy looking for a forever home. Something Qing geng was willing to give him until Li Lun appeared. 😭

Yeah I agree with you. Thai Bl's can't keep my interest for long either. I'm always willing to try it atleast once. And yeah I'm probably being too positive. I think I'm more hoping it will be a good idea otherwise another Thai Bl I've lost interest in. Suppose we'll know in 6 months if it was worth it. ^^

About the one episode a week for six months, it really isn't that bad in my opinion. I mean I've seen people, myself included, who watch series that you get roughly 20 minutes each week for almost a year and still stay invested in the series. I understand that it's not for everyone but all I'm saying is it could be worse. And while most aren't used to that especially for Bl's it might actually end up being a good format. We'll see it might not as well. Also I'm not arguing with you so please don't take offense. ^^

Co-production dramas between Thailand and South Korea don't have the best reputation. And I think people are worried it will be a repeat of 'Love is like a Cat' not that I've personally watched it but people say it was horrendous. Hence why they're keeping their expectations low so not to get their hopes up.
