I agree ALP cinematography is just beautiful. Legend of Fuyao, Love and Destiny, Ever Night and ELOD were decent too.

This is a high budget drama. Like you can literally see it from the costumes and all but why is the CGI so bad🥲. I love the plot line but the special effects really irritate me.

There are different ways to teach your child. Negative reinforcement isn’t the only way. I don’t think that the mother hates CSS or anything but she could definitely use a change in ways of parenting.

Bruhhh come on. It is very common yes but the mother does it every single time. It seriously gets annoying when you are being compared to someone else all the time. And every Asian parent doing it doesn’t make it right uk?

I definitely don’t support CSS threatening her parents that she’ll run away with LY but I totally agree with you. Like it’s understandable why she would do that. She doesn’t trust her mother at all and the mother honestly hasn’t done anything in front of her to be proven trustworthy.

She’s not doing it to spite her mother. CSS just doesn’t trust her mother anymore. If they had a normal mother daughter relationship then they would share that rapport and bond, but they don’t and CSS believes that she only has herself to rely upon. Her mother has never shown her motherly side in front of her so she doesn’t know how much the mother cares. She has only been treated like a soldier not a child by her mother.

As someone who grew up in an Asian household I definitely agree that parents don’t show much affection but they don’t insult and belittle their kids at every point either. Tough love is alright, children do not understand a lot of things that elders do but constantly telling your child that they are inferior to someone else? That they are a wicked person with schemes? That’s not how it works.

I do agree that the mom is trying to protect CSS by not letting her marry LY but there’s a reason why CSS is unwilling to listen to her. That’s cuz her mother has belittled her at every point. Instead of understanding why she schemes, CSS is simply blamed by her for being unruly. If she hadn’t schemed and plotted, the aunt and grandmother would have eaten her alive. In the entire time she was abandoned her mother didn’t care enough to ask if she was being treated okay or if she was living well. But now that the mother is back she suddenly wants to set CSS straight. That’s not how it works. You have to make efforts to create a loving relationship with your child not outright insult them and keep praising other people and never protect them like in that desk scene. Her mother might be absolutely right about the marriage but CSS not listening to her mother is also understandable as she repeatedly keeps saying that she can only rely on herself. What’s the use of crying in secret,missing her when she’s gone and watching her secretly when all that she does when she meets CSS is taunt her?
