I love him, but I am currently watching “Bright Eyes of the Dark,” and as a cellist who knows the basics about violin playing I feel so stressed seeing his horrible violin play acting. They should have hired a violinist to guide him to at least hold the bow properly.
As much as I love this drama, the camera angles and instrumental music in random scenes is starting to make me feel like this belongs in Hallmark. At least it’s very different from most C-dramas I’ve watched.

so far from what I’ve watched it’s not clear. My guess is Zhang Linghe, although I think that’s one of the story arcs of the drama because she has three guys to choose from.

There are many problems I personally found in this drama. 1. Too long, and draggy. Should have been 20 episodes. 2. Too many loopholes and just even within the universe of the drama too. 3. Some of the acting absolutely leads me to question if even the actors were taking their scripts seriously towards the end. Honestly I love Xing Fei but this drama was not it although I think she did the best she could with a crappy plotline and script. Honestly I found myself skipping so much in the last 15 episodes or so, it was a big let down. Also I think the second main plot line after the first one ends was absolutely cliche and unnecessary.

Spoiler: Gong Shang Jue and him are definitely brothers from the same father. In fact the whole conspiracy about his birth is actually about another brother of theirs that was murdered by Wufeng and is also a son of Shang Jue’s mother. The story really picks up and develops it’s characters. Toward the end the Yuan Zhi, Zi Yu, and Shang Jue have a really cute brotherly relationship and I really recommend that you give it a chance!

While I agree that C-dramas are notorious for open endings, I think in this specific case it’s too much like a setup for a second season. Speciqlly since many of the important topics raised during the drama weren’t brought to closure such as who is the leader of Wufeng among other things. But I agree with you that it’s likely going to be at least a year before we get to know if it is happening.
The multiple couple wedding thing makes this drama look like it was written by a child. I can appreciate the acting from the leads and thinks it’s okay to watch, but I can’t see an adult sitting down to write this. I hostly feel like I’m watching something 12 year old me posted on Wattpad. I don’t know that’s the way I see the ending of this drama.

Yeah but the likeliness of if there is a second season the same cast is really small. It’s what I’ve see typically happen in C dramas. Ab example of this is Doulo Continent.

Umm…. Zhang Ling He did great in his role as Gong Ziyu at the beginning it’s hard to understand him, but as you watch you find out things about him. Honestly this drama is great not just because of Zhang Ling He, but Yu Shu Xin and basically every other cast memeber that did such an awesome job. Plus the visuals, soundtrack, and script are among the best I’ve seen in any C dramas. As for Zhang Ling He previous to this I had only watched him in another drama which hadn’t left to good of an impression but now he has definitely improved a lot.
