The two dramas are completely different, MM is a xianxia whilst Flourished Peony is a historical drama created to promote chinese history, specifically the Tang Dynasty. not to mention they're airing on two different platforms.

me too, I think its taking a while to start because they're choosing to film in a historical region, which includes places like Hongcun Village which is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so it takes time for them to build the set carefully
