personally I don't think yang zi will act another xianxia again after she produced the iconic ashes of love, all the ancient costume dramas afterwards (apart from immortal samsara which she was forced to film) are either classic chinese mythology big IP like Lost you forever, or more mainstream historical dynasty dramas like Flourished Peony and The Golden Hairpin.

idk I've seen people debating about this, but an example is that Jiang Xin's 'As Long As We Are Together' was re-done and had to be re-sent for trial

it'll air after it passes trial, the production company is xinli (New Classics Media) so the drama will be treated well

I haven't heard any rumours about her next project, only that flourished peony may be filmed for a bit longer, probably only finishing at the end of June
